During our independent testing, we recorded a slightly slower time of 11.9 seconds, which suggests a minor discrepancy with the manufacturer's figures. The top speed is listed at 180 km/h, a figure that aligns with its urban crossover nature rather than a track-focused machine. The quarter-mile time isn't its strong suit either, taking 18.5 seconds to cover the distance. Braking from 100-0 km/h took around 43 meters, indicating average stopping power suitable for daily driving scenarios but not for aggressive track use.
The CS35 is powered by a modest 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, delivering 116 horsepower and 160 Nm of torque. The power delivery is linear, with no turbo lag to speak of, but it lacks the exhilarating punch of turbocharged rivals.
