When I first unboxed the Realme C65, I was hit with a wave of excitement. The sleek design and vibrant color options were more impressive than I expected for a budget phone. I was genuinely looking forward to diving into its features and making it a part of my daily routine.
However, I was a bit disheartened when I realized that the initial setup took longer than anticipated. I felt like I was waiting forever for the updates to finish downloading. I remember sitting on my couch, watching the loading screen and thinking, "This shouldn’t take this long!"
Still, I tried to stay positive. After everything was set up, I felt a rush of anticipation. I couldn't wait to explore the interface and see what this phone had to offer. Overall, that first week felt like a roller coaster of emotions as I navigated through the good and the not-so-good.
Let's talk about the battery. At first, it seemed decent. I could get through a day without charging, which was a huge relief. But then came that fateful day when I was out running errands, and my battery died at 4 PM! I was so annoyed when I realized I couldn't even pull up my shopping list.
The worst part was that I had forgotten my portable charger at home. I had to scramble to find a coffee shop with a charging station, feeling the frustration bubbling up inside me. For a budget phone, I expected better battery optimization. It just didn’t hold up during my busy day.
However, I did find moments of joy when I used the phone for light browsing and social media. In those situations, it seemed to handle tasks fairly well, and I appreciated not having to hunt for a charger every couple of hours.
The camera has genuinely been a mixed bag. I was filled with anticipation to capture family moments, but I was disappointed when I noticed a significant lag when taking a photo. There were times I was ready to snap a picture of my kid’s infectious smile, only to miss it because the shutter just wouldn’t respond fast enough.
Yet, I was pleasantly surprised on some occasions. I took a picture of a sunset during a family outing, and I couldn't believe how vibrant the colors turned out. This genuinely impressed me! I found myself wanting to capture more moments just to see if I could replicate that stunning shot.
Overall, the camera can be hit or miss, but when it does work, it’s rewarding. I just wish the consistency was there, especially for those precious family moments that I want to keep forever.
In terms of daily performance, I faced some frustrating moments. While it handles basic tasks like texting and browsing fairly well, I found it lagged during multitasking. I was so frustrated when I had a video call going while trying to check my emails, and the phone just froze on me!
It's disappointing because I rely on my phone for both work and personal use. I expected a smoother experience, especially considering how many apps I had closed before the call. It made me second-guess whether I could rely on this phone during important moments.
However, there were times when it surprised me with how well it handled simpler tasks, like playing music or scrolling through social media. I appreciated those little victories, but they didn’t overshadow the moments of lagging.
In the end, my experience with the Realme C65 has been a mixed bag of highs and lows. While I genuinely loved some features, like its design and occasional camera brilliance, the battery and performance issues have left me feeling frustrated.
Would I recommend it? It really depends on your needs. If you’re just looking for something basic and can manage with the shortcomings, it might suit you just fine. But if you rely heavily on your phone for daily tasks, you might want to keep looking. Overall, I walked away with both fond memories and lingering frustrations that I wish hadn’t clouded my experience.
