When I first unboxed the Redmi Note 12 4G, I felt a spark of excitement. The sleek design and vibrant colors immediately drew me in. The phone has a nice weight to it, which made it feel substantial in my hand, not cheap or flimsy like some other budget phones I’ve used. I genuinely appreciated the matte finish on the back, which not only looked classy but also helped with grip.
However, I was a bit let down with the overall aesthetic choices. The plastic frame felt a little too basic, especially in comparison to some of the premium glass finishes I see in other phones at similar price points. I mean, come on! For a device that’s marketed as a stylish option, I expected something that felt a bit more luxurious. The design choices really left me feeling like they played it too safe.
As for software, I can't say I was thrilled. The MIUI interface on the Redmi Note 12 is quite colorful, which can be fun, but it sometimes feels cluttered. I found myself frustrated navigating through menus with ads popping up in places where I didn’t expect them. It was annoying because it interrupted my flow, making me feel like I was constantly being sold something.
